I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that helped make our Potato Festival another success this year. The committee members, the ABIA, the volunteers to the entertainers all contributed to the festival’s success. It was a great year – the weather held out for us and the crowds were awesome. From the kick off with the parade on Friday night to the closing on the Sunday evening, the crowd supported the festival all the way.
This year was one of our biggest parades with a 100 floats and the downtown merchants saw more vendors than ever before. The Free Shuttle Bus was a great success moving people from Victoria Street to the fairgrounds. The events at the fairgrounds were well received and supported by the crowd. A great weekend was had by all who attended.
We had an opportunity to meet new friends and get reacquainted with old friends. A big thank you to the volunteers and the folks who attended - without all of you there would be no festival.
See you again next year at our 43rd annual Alliston Potato Festival.
