Just another example of the Alliston Potato Festival giving back to the community.  Shown here is Rick Milne, President of the Alliston Potato festival presenting Andrew MacKenzie with a Cheque for $500 to assist in the Out of The Cold program organized by the Alliston Christian Fellowship.

We have just finished our 44th year as the Alliston Potato Festival.  What an accomplishment to all the volunteers,  organizations,  non-profit groups and sponsors.  It is through their contributions, dedication and hard work that the Festival is possible.

What a great community we live in.  You stay with us through all kinds of weather.  You participate in all events planned from the Potato Festival Parade, to the activities on Victoria Street and the Potato Festival fairgrounds. The Free Shuttle Bus provided by the Festival made it possible for you to roam freely from Victoria St. to the Fairgrounds.

Again, it is the people in our community that make the Alliston Potato Festival a success every year.  Our years of tradition in having such a festival are indications that you look forward to this weekend and what it represents – community, fellowship, home coming and sometimes new beginnings.  Thanks everyone for your contribution in making our Alliston Potato Festival such a success.

See you next year as we celebrate our 45th year of The Alliston Potato Festival.
